Pauele works in "garages"(auto-yards) in Port-au-Prince to provide information about birth control, distribute free condoms, provide HIV/AIDS/STI information, and educate about violence against women. Unfortunately, her courageous efforts are threatened by a loss of funding

For more than twenty years PROFAMIL has provided low-cost, high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare.  PROFAMIL’s clinics provide family planning as well as early detection of breast and cervical cancers, pre-and-post natal services, and voluntary testing and counseling for HIV/AIDS. In rural areas, a network of health promoters and mobile health clinics provide family planning and basic care, often providing the only healthcare available in these remote communities.
