Contact the 2008 Presidential Candidates

The last eight years have been marked by unfortunate policies, damaging to the provision of sexual and reproductive health services around the world, such as the Global Gag Rule. The 2008 elections mark a significant opportunity to take a stand for all women, men and young people by demanding that our leaders provide funding for evidence-based sexual and reproductive health services and comprehensive sex education.

Tell the presidential candidates to support the elimination of the Global Gag Rule and to pledge increased funding for sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Subject: What's on your agenda?

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

I am writing to ask you to clarify your stance on sexual and reproductive health issues, and particularly U.S. funding for reproductive and sexual health programs.

The last eight years have been marked by unfortunate policies, damaging to the provision of sexual and reproductive health services around the world, such as the Global Gag Rule. The 2008 elections mark a significant opportunity for you, as a presidential candidate, to take a stand for all women, men and young people by demanding that our leaders provide funding for evidence-based sexual and reproductive health services and comprehensive sex education.

If elected, will you eliminate the Global Gag Rule and restore funding for UNFPA?

Please make sure that sexual and reproductive health and rights are part of your campaign agenda.

Sincerely,
